The School of Life and Ocean Sciences successfully held the 2025 Guangdong Postdoctoral Life Science Academic Exchange Conference
From April 23 to 25, 2025, the 2025 Guangdong Postdoctoral Life Science Academic Exchange Conference was successfully held in Lihu Campus of Shenzhen University, which was sponsored by Shenzhen University and jointly organized by School of Life and Marine Sciences of Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Postdoctoral Development Promotion Association.
Experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University and other institutions, And from the National University of Singapore, the University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Sun Yat-sen University, Southern University of Science and Technology, South China Agricultural University, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen People's Hospital, Health Life and other more than 20 universities, research institutes and biomedical companies more than 100 young postdoctoral talents gathered together. To discuss the basic frontier issues and industry development trends of life science.
This conference takes the 40th anniversary of postdoctoral work in Guangdong Province as an opportunity, with the theme of "Innovation Leading: the current situation and future trend of life science research", aiming to build a postdoctoral exchange platform, promote the high-level creation and efficient transformation of postdoctoral research achievements, further improve the quality of postdoctoral training, and help Guangdong build an important position of new quality productivity.
A total of 3 keynote presentations, 1 invited presentation, 16 oral presentations and 26 wall posters were arranged. The "2025 Guangdong Postdoctoral Life Science Academic Exchange Conference Abstracts Collection" was compiled, including 49 abstracts in both Chinese and English. The contents and topics covered more than ten frontier hot research fields such as molecular biology, photobiology, evolutionary biology, fish genomics, biomedicine, epidemiology, disease diagnosis and precision medicine, and food science.
The conference was held under the guidance of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province and the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security of Shenzhen City, as well as the strong support of the Human Resources Department of the university. Ma Yan, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Li Zhuo, executive Director of Shenzhen Postdoctoral Development Promotion Association, Zheng Houming, Secretary General of Guangdong Postdoctoral Talent Development Promotion Association, Liu Yang, Vice Minister of Human Resources Department of Shenzhen University, Liu Hongtao, Dean of School of Life and Ocean Science of Shenzhen University, Liang Jie, secretary of School of Life and Ocean Science of Shenzhen University and other leading cadres attended the meeting in person.
During the meeting, industry experts, leaders of competent authorities and young postdoctoral talents had candid exchanges, and reached a consensus on optimizing the postdoctoral training and guarantee mechanism. More than 10 postdoctoral talents and the School of Life and Marine Sciences have reached a cooperation intention.
The post-doctoral academic exchange conference selected 1 special prize, 2 first prize, 3 second prize and 5 best wall newspaper award for export head report. Finally, the conference came to an end with a grand award ceremony and warm applause!
